Blue Jackets' Sergei Bobrovsky out with broken finger
Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will be out one to two weeks after breaking his finger when hit by a puck during Monday's practice.
He was placed on the injured list on Tuesday, and Anton Forsberg was recalled on an emergency basis.
This is Forsberg's second recall. He was just sent down after backup goalie Curtis McElhinney returned from a head injury. He didn't play during the two games.
Bobrovsky, who won the Vezina Trophy in 2013, is 4-4-0 with a 2.81 goals-against average and .908 save percentage this season.
Bobrovsky becomes the latest in a string of injuries for the Blue Jackets, including Boone Jenner (broken hand), Brandon Dubinsky (abdominal surgery), Nathan Horton (back) and Ryan Murray (lower body). Only Murray has played this season.
Nick Foligno was taken off the ice on a stretcher in his last game. He's day-to-day with a stinger.
McElhinney was injured in his lone start of the season.
