Olympic fans show us their best 'Phelps face'
Didn't catch Michael Phelps' mean mugging toward South Africa's Chad Le Clos before the men's 200m butterfly semi-final? Don't worry, these Olympic fans have you covered.
RIO DE JANEIRO — Michael Phelps will anchor the U.S. men’s 4x200 freestyle relay Tuesday night, his second relay of the week so far.
Phelps will swim the final leg — following Conor Dwyer, Townley Haas and Ryan Lochte (in that order) — approximately an hour after he swims in the men’s 200 butterfly final. He has yet to swim a double at these Olympic Games.\
The relay lineup is reminiscent of the one used in London four years ago. Lochte led off, followed by Dwyer then Ricky Berens. Phelps anchored, and the U.S. won gold.
Phelps, the most decorated Olympian ever, had 19 gold medals (and 23 overall) entering Tuesday night’s action.
