Five things you have to see at the Rio Olympics on Thursday

These are the five biggest stories and events to watch on Thursday at the Rio Olympics. Click here for a more detailed schedule that includes streaming and TV info or check out the full schedule and results for the Summer Games.

Track and field

Usain Bolt is back! The speedy Jamaican will run for his second gold medal in Rio in the men’s 200 meters Thursday night (9:30 p.m. ET). Bolt cruised to gold in the 100 and will also be a part of Jamaica’s 4x100 relay. Elsewhere on the track, American Ashton Eaton heads into the final day of the decathlon with hopes of defending his Olympic gold. In men’s 400-meter hurdles, Kerron Clement will represent the U.S. team. And on the women’s side, Dalilah Muhammad and Ashley Spencer are through to the 400-meter hurdles final.

Women’s basketball

The U.S. women are they heavy favorites as they take on France in the semifinals. Spain and Serbia are in the other semifinal. The Americans are 6-0 and coming off a dominant win against Japan on Tuesday.

Boxing

American Shakur Stevenson, 19, will fight in a semifinal bout against Vladimir Nikitin for a shot at a medal. Stevenson, who is from Newark, is competing in his first Olympics. He is trying to become the first American man to win gold at the Olympics since 2004.

Women’s volleyball

The American women, coached by legend Karch Kiraly, will play Serbia in the semifinals. The U.S. is 6-0 in the Olympic tournament and in search of its first Olympic gold medal since volleyball was added to the Olympic schedule in 1964.

Triathlon

The men are up first in the sport that will be held at Copacabana beach. The British Brownlee brothers, Alistair and Jonathan, are favorites to medal. Alistair won gold in London in 2012. Greg Billington, Joe Maloy and Ben Kanute will represent the U.S.
