U.S. Olympic team hosts Ukrainian medalists
SOCHI -- Amid the turmoil back home, and without a place to celebrate the country's first gold medal of these Games, the Ukrainian Olympic delegation will hold a reception at USA House Saturday night.
The violence of the anti-government movement in Kiev has shaken the delegation during these Games. The past two days have provided a brief relief as the women's biathlon team took gold.
Finally there was a reason to cheer and raise a glass which is exactly what Sergei Bubka, the president of the Ukrainian delegation, plans to do tonight with 20 to 30 members of his team amid a house decked out in red, white and blue.
