Carson Schwesinger, Dylan Sampson are first 2 Browns draft picks to sign contracts
BEREA — The Browns have started the process of getting their draft picks under contract.
The team announced it signed running back Dylan Sampson and linebacker Carson Schwesinger at the end of the first day of rookie minicamp May 9. That accounts for two of Cleveland's seven draft picks from April who are now under contract.
Schwesinger was selected with the first pick of the second round, No. 33 overall, out of UCLA. Sampson was selected with the No. 126 pick in the fourth round out of Tennessee.
The remaining unsigned draft picks are defensive tackle Mason Graham (first round, pick No. 5), running back Quinshon Judkins (second round, No. 36), tight end Harold Fannin Jr. (third round, No. 67) and quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel (third round, No. 94) and Shedeur Sanders (fifth round, No. 144). They can participate in rookie minicamp, the offseason program and mandatory minicamp while unsigned, but must be under contract by the start of training camp.
The Browns are conducting their three-day rookie minicamp this weekend, May 9-11. All of the picks arrived at the team facility on May 8.
