Tosu goes 1st in J-League standings
TOKYO (AP) — Kei Ikeda scored late in the second half on Saturday as Sagan Tosu beat Nagoya Grampus 1-0 to move into first place in the J-League.
Ikeda's left-footed shot in the 82nd minute allowed Sagan to improve to 37 points, level with Urawa Reds. Tosu tops the table with a better goal difference.
Urawa was held by Vissel Kobe 2-2.
Third-placed Kawasaki Frontale fell four points off the pace after a 4-1 loss to Kashiwa Reysol.
Kashima Antlers went fourth after a 5-1 thrashing of defending champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima, and Yoshinori Muto scored two goals to help FC Tokyo beat Shimizu S-Pulse 4-0.
Hiroyuki Takasaki also scored late as Tokushima Vortis earned a 2-2 draw against Ventforet Kofu. Omiya Ardija drew 2-2 with Vegalta Sendai.
In other matches, Brazilian Patric and Japan international Yasuhito Endo scored second-half goals as Gamba Osaka beat Yokohama F Marinos 2-0.
Sho Naruoka scored the only goal to give Albirex Niigata a 1-0 win over Cerezo Osaka.
