Arsenal's Debuchy set for at least 6 weeks out

LONDON (AP) — Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says right back Mathieu Debuchy will be out for at least six weeks because of an ankle injury.

The France international was hurt in the 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Saturday, and will undergo exploratory tests.

Wenger says on Friday that Debuchy will be sidelined for six weeks if he does not require surgery, and three months if he does.

That prognosis means Debuchy will miss France's friendlies against Portugal and Armenia next month.

Debuchy's injury leaves Arsenal with just Calum Chambers as its one senior right back until November.
