Sepp Blatter hospitalized after suffering a 'small breakdown'
Suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter reportedly suffered a “small breakdown" and has been hospitalized.
Blatter is expected to remain in a Swiss hospital until Tuesday after he was admitted for what was described “as nervous shock,” according to the BBC.
His spokesman Klaus Stoehlker tells The Associated Press that the suspended FIFA president expects to leave the hospital next Monday.
In a telephone interview, Stoehlker says Blatter “will be back officially in business on Tuesday next week.”
Blatter, 79, is currently serving a 90-day provisional suspension that was imposed last month in the wake of the widespread FIFA corruption scandal. He is appealing the punishment.
