Arsenal FC coach Unai Emery banned fruit juice from the team's training ground menu in an effort to closely monitor the team's fitness regimen, according to ESPN and the Mirror

Emery, who replaced Arsene Wenger as the team's head coach in May, is wanting his players to drink water as opposed to juices with high doses of sugar.

Wenger similarly tried to restrict the team's dietary choices, banning alcoholic beverages and chocolate bars in favor of chicken, fish and vegetables.

Arsenal's preseason training also has featured stronger emphasis on fitness under Emery, according to players. Emery has utilized weighing sessions, body fat measurements and other scientific processes as a way to closely manage players' health, according to the Mirror
