International Champions Cup: Schedule, TV info to watch top European club soccer teams
For the seventh consecutive summer, the build-up to the 2019-20 European domestic club campaign — the International Champions Cup — is taking place primarily in the United States.
A total of 12 teams representing six countries — Guadalajara of Mexico is the only non-European entry in the tournament — will play three games apiece, with 11 of 18 total matches being played in the U.S.
The 2019 edition of the International Champions Cup features eight-time defending Italian Serie A champion Juventus, seven-time defending German Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich, defending Portugese Primeira Liga champion Benfica, as well as 2018-19 Champions League runner-up Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League. In addition to taking part in the ICC tournament, Spanish club Atletico Madrid also will be the opponent in the Major League Soccer All-Star Game on July 31.
Fiorentina (of Italy) and Guadalajara kick off the tournament on Tuesday, July 16 at SeakGeek Stadium (home of the Chicago Fire of MLS), and the competition closes on Saturday, Aug. 10 when Atletico Madrid plays Juventus at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
The games will be televised by ESPN (available in Spanish on ESPN Deportes) and will stream on WatchESPN or ESPN+.
