Boxing Day: English Premier League schedule, standings, how to watch the 5 soccer matches

There will be no lack of English Premier League action leading up to and on Boxing Day to ring in the holiday festivities.

Manchester United started the holiday weekend on a disappointing note with a 2-0 loss to West Ham United. This was United's fourth game without scoring a goal. West Ham's victory secured them three points and moved them up to the sixth spot in the Premier League Standings. On the other hand, The Red Devils dropped to eighth place with 28 points.

Manchester United and manager Erik Ten Hag need to resolve their issues quickly as they prepare to face Aston Villa, who are still competing with Arsenal for the top spot in the league on Boxing Day.

Aston Villa missed out on a chance to top the EPL table for the first time in 25 years, settling for a 1-1 result against Sheffield United at home. Now, they face a must-win situation against Manchester United on Boxing Day.

On Christmas Eve morning, Wolverhampton Wanderers, currently 14th on the English Premier League table, will take on Chelsea, who sit at the 10th spot. This will be the first English Premier League game on Dec 24 in 28 years.
