Manchester City and Manchester United may be trapped in disappointing Premier League seasons, but the Manchester Derby remains one of the biggest games in English soccer.

Man City has claimed six of the last seven league titles, including four straight, but Pep Guardiola's side has been out of sorts from the moment key midfielder Rodri tore his ACL in September. It's been tough sledding ever since, and Man City will likely need to rely on UEFA's byzantine coefficient system to qualify for next year's Champions League.

Things could be worse. Man United's fall from grace has carried on this season, with the Red Devils sitting in 13th place at the moment. Man United has just one loss since mid-February and won this year's first Manchester Derby 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium. Hosting at Old Trafford this Sunday, there will be reason for optimism that the city's red side can compound Man City's frustrations.

Neither of these teams has experienced much happiness this season, and that will continue on Sunday. Bruno Fernandes has been on fire for the Red Devils lately, and he figures to give the hosts an early lead. However, Man United's inability to put Man City away will come back to haunt them, with Omar Marmoush continuing a good run with a late, and arguably undeserved, equalizer. — Jason Anderson

Becky Ashton writes: "City have won more Premier League away games against United than against any other side and five of those nine wins have come under Pep Guardiola, the most of any visiting manager in the competition... Old Trafford has hardly been a Theatre of Dreams for United fans this season with just six league wins from 15 games played so far. They have also drawn two, against Chelsea and Fulham and lost seven."

Craig Mahood writes: "You just don't know what Manchester United team will turn up. Strangely this season, the same can be said of Manchester City... United have had City's measure on the past few occasions they've met too and they could play out a draw here."
