FIFA World Cup: Round of 16 schedule, TV time and storylines for Monday, July 2
On Saturday, the sport's two greatest players of the era were eliminated.
On Sunday, host Russia upset one of the most dominant teams of the past decade.
What will Monday have in store at the 2018 World Cup?
The day kicks off with Mexico's quest to get to a fifth game. That's no small task given that Brazil is standing in the way. Brazil will attempt to avoid the fate that so many tournament favorites have already experienced.
Belgium has been one of the few World Cup favorites to live up to the pre-tournament hype. At the 2014 World Cup, Belgium reached the quarterfinals (after beating the U.S. in the Round of 16) and it has greater ambitions this year. Belgium faces Japan, which reached the Round of 16 due to the bizarre "Fair Play" tiebreaker.
