The 2023 FIFA World Cup is almost here.

This year's iteration of the tournament will have two host nations, Australia and New Zealand, for the first time ever. It will also be the first tournament to feature an expanded field of 32 teams, up from the previous number of 24.

The United States Women's National Team is seeking to become the first team ever to win three straight World Cups after beating the Netherlands in the 2019 final and Japan in the 2015 final.

The tournament will begin July 20, with both host countries hosting their first games of the competition. The championship match is scheduled for August 20.

The opening match between New Zealand and Norway at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand will begin at 3 a.m. ET on Thursday, July 20.
