With the calendar flipping to May and a month of baseball put to bed, we look way down the road to the World Series and the MLB betting odds around who the oddsmakers think have the best chance to win the 2019 World Series Championship.

Odds have changed slightly since our last update, as some surprises have played out on baseball fields around the country.

While it's become clear some teams don't have a shot at the MLB postseason for a variety of reasons (I'm looking at you, Miami, Kansas City and Baltimore), the top-third of the board leaves a lot of opportunity for profit.

The top-three teams: The Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees all remain a consistent +550 in the eyes of the oddsmakers.

Considering the Yankees are 17-12 (.586) with many star talents on the IL, it wouldn't be surprising to see their odds decrease within the next month as players return to health. In other words, if you're a believer in the Yankees winning it all, now may be the time to invest to get the best ROI possible.
