Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: Best Bet
Moneyline: These types of bets aren't recommended, especially in a pivotal Game 7 where anything can happen. The homestanding Nuggets (-235) are the overwhelming favorites, but that's an awful lot of chalk to eat. The Trail Blazers (+195) are worthy of a small-unit bet.
Against the spread: The Trail Blazers are 0-5 ATS in their past five after a straight-up victory, and they're just 2-5 ATS in the past seven on the road. Denver (-5.5) is going to move on to the Western Conference Finals, and they'll salt the game away and cover in the waning moments with good free-throw shooting. Remember, Denver is 9-3-1 ATS in the past 13 meetings with Portland, and 5-2-1 ATS in the past eight at home vs. Rip City.
Over/under: The OVER 213 (-110) is 19-7 in the past 26 meetings in this series, including 4-1 in the previous five in the Mile High City. While the under is 14-5 in the past 19 at home for the Nuggets, all other trends point overwhelmingly to a high-scoring Game 7.
