RHP Rick Porcello vs. RHP Domingo German

Porcello started the season in rather rough fashion, and his 4-4 record and 4.41 ERA in 11 starts overall doesn't look particularly impressive. However, he has posted three consecutive quality starts, and the Red Sox are an impressive 7-1 over his past eight outings. He is 1-1 with a 2.75 ERA and 1.07 WHIP across his past three assignments. A road game will be a huge test to his quality starts streak, as he is 0-2 with a 5.76 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with a .348 on-base percentage away from home.

German has been a godsend for the Yankees this season, filling a major void in the front-end of their rotation. He is 9-1 with a 3.43 ERA across 60 1/3 innings with 63 strikeouts. He was tuned up last time out in Kansas City of all places, allowing seven earned runs, nine hits and four homers across just five innings. At home, however, he is 4-1 with a sparkling 1.69 ERA and 0.98 WHIP across 26 2/3 innings.
