LHP Mike Minor vs. LHP Chris Sale

Minor is just 5-4 through 13 starts this season but his ERA sits at a clean 2.55. He's striking out 9.63 hitters per nine innings with 2.88 walks allowed and an average of just 0.89 home runs per nine. He's stranding over 82 percent of base runners. He's been pulled before completing six innings in four of his last six starts, but he's allowed three or less earned runs in each of his last eight outings.

Sale's still seeking his first home win this season but is coming off a nine-inning shutout of the Kansas City Royals in which he walked none and recorded 12 strikeouts for his best outing of the season. Opponents are hitting .219/.291/.419 against him at Fenway over 28 1/3 innings.
