Kelly has scuffled away from home (6.00 ERA, 5.3 BB/9) and in this one faces a Phillies attack which has above-average numbers in home games (.773 OPS). The 30-year-old right-hander has displayed flashes of elite skill at times, and figuring starts in Denver for what they are, he's given the Diamondbacks serviceable outings in 5-of-his-last-6.

Eflin is way out over his skis with a 2.88 surface ERA. In RISP situations, batters own a .196 BABIP against him. When leading off an inning (which is crucial enough to be considered a clutch situation): Same number - .196 BABIP. On Wednesday, Eflin will face a Diamondbacks club which ranks sixth in MLB with a fine .803 OPS on the road. Arizona has pounded starters in third-time-through situations. That could expose a Phillies pen which struggles against lefty bats.
