LHP Wade Miley vs. RHP Masahiro Tanaka

Miley has allowed three or fewer runs in 14 of 15 starts this season and enters Saturday with a 3.30 ERA. He's stranding 82.4 percent of base runners and is inducing a ground-ball rate over 50 percent for the third consecutive year. He's been much better at home; however, as his ERA soars to 4.68 on the road. Last outing: Miley's 4 1/3 innings against the Cincinnati Reds marked his shortest outing since April 12. He allowed four hits and three earned runs with six strikeouts and four walks.

Tanaka holds a 5-5 record through 15 starts. He's striking out 8.22 hitters per nine innings against 1.96 walks and 1.17 home runs. He's allowed just five homers over 57 1/3 innings at Yankee Stadium, where his ERA sits at 2.83. Last outing: Tanaka is coming off his first complete game of the year. He gave up two hits and no runs while striking out a season-high 10 batters with only one walk. It was his first time completing at least seven innings since May 12.
