The Braves have cashed in four straight starts with the southpaw Fried on the hill, and they're 5-1 across the past six against teams with a winning overall mark. Atlanta has also connected in four straight road outings by Fried. Overall Fried is 8-3 with a 4.03 ERA and 76 strikeouts over 82 2/3 innings. He has been a little shaky lately, posting a 5.40 ERA over his past three outings with a WHIP of 1.50.

Alzolay made his major league debut against the Mets on June 20, and he allowed just one earned run, one hit and two walks with five strikeouts in a relief appearance. Now, he'll take the ball for the first time as a starter.
