The Seattle Mariners (35-47) kick off a three-game interleague set on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers (42-36) Tuesday at Miller Park at 8:10 p.m. Eastern.

Neither team has been very good in interleague play, as the Mariners are 0-4 in four games against the National League, and the Brewers are just 2-5 in seven games vs. the AL.

LHP Marco Gonzales vs. RHP Zach Davies

Gonzales enters play with an 8-6 record, 4.38 ERA and 67 strikeouts across 96 2/3 innings in 17 starts this season. He had a shaky patch in late May to early June, but he has picked up the pace again, going 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over the past three starts. He has been a much better pitcher on the road, too, going 4-2 with a 2.77 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 48 2/3 innings as the visitor. He is 4-4 with a 6.00 ERA and 1.52 WHIP across 48 innings at home.

Davies puts his 7-1 record and 3.06 ERA on the line against the M's in this interleague series opener. He was smacked around for five earned runs and nine hits in just 2 2/3 innings in a loss at San Diego. He heads into this one with a 4-0 record, 3.13 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across 31 2/3 innings at home this season.
