Paddack slumped for about a month and things looked bad after he gave up a leadoff home run against St. Louis. Then, he righted the ship and tossed six innings of two-hit ball. He tries to finish the first half off against Los Angeles on a high note.

Maeda starts against the Padres and hopes for a better outcome than his last outing. The Dodgers pitcher was hammered at Coors Field - all of the runs coming in the fifth inning after four scoreless frames. Overall on the season, Maeda has a 3.78 ERA and 88 strikeouts. He is 6-3 career against San Diego.
