RHP Domingo German vs. RHP Kyle Gibson

German puts his stellar 12-2 record, 3.38 ERA and 1.05 WHIP on the line against the Twins. He has a 4.53 ERA in 45 2/3 innings on the road as opposed to a 2.13 ERA in 42 1/3 innings at home, but he has a 6-1 record both on the road and at Yankee Stadium. He has been nearly untouchable over his past three starts, going 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 0.78 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 18 innings.

Gibson checks in with a 9-4 record, 4.02 ERA and .305 opponent on-base percentage across 105 1/3 innings with 106 strikeouts. While that's all well and good, the Yankees have been his kryptonite. Minnesota has posted a 4-1 mark in his past five outings, and 6-2 record in the past eight at Target Field, but the Twins are 0-7 in his past seven tries against the Bronx Bombers.
