RHP Sean Reid-Foley vs. LHP Clayton Kershaw

Last outing: Reid-Foley was met with some regression last week, giving up three earned runs over 3 1/3 innings, as he struck out three and walked as many.

Kershaw enters play tied with Sandy Koufax at 165 career wins. He has a 2.63 ERA but a 3.47 xFIP suggests luck has been a factor. He's striking out 0.26 batters per nine with just 1.84 walks and 0.99 home runs allowed. His 42.3% rate of opponent hard contact is more than 50% worse than his career average. He sports a 2.26 ERA at home with eight home runs allowed across 79 2/3 innings. Last outing: Kershaw held the Miami Marlins scoreless over seven innings, striking out 10 with no walks and just two hits allowed.
