BYU Cougars at Tennessee Volunteers odds, picks and best bets
The Brigham Young Cougars (0-1) head to Rocky Top to square off with the Tennessee Volunteers (0-1) at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Both of these teams were embarrassed last week, and someone is going to leave the field shaking their heads and in an 0-2 hole to start 2019.
BYU was upended in 'The Holy War' (its rivalry game against Utah) by a 30-12 count. Tennessee ended up with a loss against Georgia State, and it paid $950,000 to take that L. Ouch.

Prediction
Tennessee 31, Brigham Young 27
Moneyline ( ?)
The Cougars (+140) are slight underdogs in this one, and after last week's performance at home, there isn't much reason to pick them. The Volunteers (-170) allowed Georgia State to hang 38 points on them, although they did post 404 yards of offense. The Vols were at least decent offensively, and that makes them the play at home.
Against the Spread ( ?)
The Cougars (+3.5, -110) were atrocious at home, and there isn't much confidence they'll be able to bounce back on the road. The Volunteers (-3.5, -110) defense was terrible last week, but at least they moved the ball. I'd feel better buying the half-point or even going under three, but Tennessee will bounce back. If not, head coach Jeremy Pruitt might be fired on the spot.
Over/Under ( ?)
The OVER 52 (-110) seems like a slam-dunk play. Neither BYU nor Tennessee offered much resistance to the respective opponents last week defensively, and the Vols looked sharp on offense. Expect this one to come down to the end, with plenty of points on the board.
