  • Florida has won seven straight home games straight up and hasn't lost to Tennessee in the Swamp since 2003.
  • The Volunteers are 5-10 ATS over their last 15 SEC contests.
  • The over has prevailed in eight of the Gators' last 11 games.
  • Last 10 meetings: the Gators have outscored the Volunteers 29.4-20.5, in a series that has gone 4-4-2 ATS.
  • UF head coach Dan Mullen (second year at Florida, formerly at Mississippi State) is 4-1 ATS over his last five SEC home openers.

Prediction

Florida 31, Tennessee 20

Moneyline ( ?)

The line is Florida -667/Tennessee +450. The bigger the moneyline, the more juice to overcome. And, in this case, the quicker the pass.

Against the Spread ( ?)

Both sides set up as potential fade candidates in upcoming weeks. The line is Florida -14. And that number is too difficult to get leverage on with both sides. With a backup quarterback going for UF and other question marks in play (including a third of each sample size being an FCS squad), this line is one on which to pass.

Over/Under ( ?)

A couple injuries and question marks are in the pass-defense departments for each side. And there is some minor analytic pull against both defenses in the first place. Take the OVER 48.5 (-110) as the strongest action in this match-up.
