Louisville Cardinals at Florida State Seminoles odds, picks and best bets

The Louisville Cardinals (2-1) and Florida State Seminoles (1-2) tangle at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for the Cards, and the second league tilt for the 'Noles.

Louisville at Florida State: Betting Trends and Tips

• Louisville's only setback came against Notre Dame in the opener, but they were able to narrowly cover. They rebounded by throttling Eastern Kentucky 42-0 and held on for the cover last week against Western Kentucky, posting a 3-0 ATS mark so far.
• FSU blew it in Charlottesville last week, dropping a 31-24 decision in Virginia, a game they probably should've won.
• The Seminoles are 1-2 SU/2-0-1 ATS, and the only success they have had was a 45-44 win over Louisiana-Monroe of the Sun Belt Conference, and that was thanks to a missed extra point in OT.
• The 'Noles posted a 28-24 win at the 'Ville on Sept. 29, 2018, avenging a 31-28 setback in Tally Oct. 21, 2017, and a 63-20 humbling in Kentucky on Sept. 17, 2016.
• Both of these teams are poor against the number lately, as Louisville is 9-23 ATS in the past 32 overall, and 1-6 ATS in the past seven on the road. They're also 0-6 ATS in the past six league games.
• Florida State is just 1-5-1 ATS in the past seven against winning teams, 3-11-3 ATS in the past 17 ACC battles and 1-7-2 ATS in the past 10 games in the month of September.

The Cardinals (+200) are worth a roll of the dice on the road at double money. The Seminoles (-250) haven't been able to put together a good full 60 minutes of football yet this season.
