Flyers at Devils: Projected starting goalies
Carter Hart vs. Cory Schneider
Hart has made six starts with one relief appearance this season and enters Friday's contest with a 3.32 goals against average and .864 save percentage for a 2-3-1 record. This will be his third appearance of the week with just 17 saves on 23 shots.
Schneider comes into Friday with a 0-3-1 record through five starts. He has a 4.71 GAA and .847 SV%, while stopping 122 of 144 shots on goal. He gave up seven tallies on 23 shots against the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday night.

Prediction
Flyers 5, Devils 2
Moneyline (ML)
The FLYERS are road underdogs with +105 odds ripe for the picking against the lowly Devils. New Jersey is 2-2-3 at home and Philadelphia is just 1-4-1 on the road as both teams enter off of consecutive losses. Still, it's a coin flip game, and the plus money on the visitors - and more talented team - is much more appealing than laying -128 on a struggling home team.
New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Flyers to win in regulation, overtime or a shootout returns a profit of $10.50.
Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)
The Flyers have been outscored 38-36 through 11 games while the Devils' minus-15 goal differential (43-28) is second-worst in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia is 5-6 on the puck line on the year and 2-4 on the road. New Jersey is just 2-8 ATS overall and 2-5 at Prudential Center.
Philadelphia's 34.9 shots on goal per game ranks third in the NHL and it out-shoots the opposition by 6.6 SOG per game. New Jersey records 30.6 shots for per game and gives up 28.4. I like the Flyers to win outright and it's our play, as the same $10 bet for them to cover the spread of +1.5 at -250 odds fetches a profit of just $4.
Over/Under (O/U)
The OVER is the play on a modest projected goal total of 6.5 with +120 odds paying $12 for every $10 bet. The Flyers are just 5-5 against the Over/Under over their last 10 games, but the Devils have gone 7-3 against the projection with faulty goaltending taking most of the blame.
