Gastelum-Till odds: Kelvin Gastelum heavy favorite over Darren Till at UFC 244

Kelvin Gastelum and Darren Till lock horns at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY Saturday, Nov. 2 at UFC 244 in a three-round bout.

Gastelum heads to the octagon with a 16-4-0 record, looking to rebound after a unanimous decision loss against Israel Adesanya at UFC 236 in the middleweight title bout. Gastelum's fight history is literally a who's who of the UFC. Before the Adesanya loss, he topped Jacare Souza and Michael Bisping in his previous two bouts, and before that he had a submission loss against Chris Weidman. In other words, he is battle tested and won't be fazed against the likes of Till.

The Englishman Till has a 17-2-1 record, and he also holds a three-inch height advantage. In addition, he holds a three-inch reach advantage. That's where the advantage ends, however. He is on a two-bout skid, and he has decided to move up to 185 pounds after fighting as a welterweight previously, so the new weight class is a bit of an unknown.

Per BetMGM, Gastelum ( -228) is a heavy favorite over Till ( +165). The oddsmakers also lean to the match not going the distance (three rounds), with odds there being set at -143 - with the odds to go a full three rounds at +105.

Are you new to sports betting? A $10 wager on Gastelum straight up at -228 to win outright pays just a $4.40 profit.

The best bet is risk it on Gastelum (-228) on the 2-way fight result line. Till is on a two-bout losing streak at the welterweight level, but that's not terribly important. What is important is that it is uncertain how Till will fight, not having to cut as much weight. He might be a bit slower, and it could be an adjustment period against a tried and true veteran of the class. It might have been better for Till to get his feet wet in a tune-up matchup before facing one the UFC's best.

Take the UFC prop bet to go UNDER ( -143) three rounds, too.
