Yes, sports betting in Washington is legal, but no sportsbook has officially launched yet.

Sports betting in Washington

Democratic Governor Jay Inslee signed a sports betting bill into law March 25, 2020. HB 2638 allows the state's Class III tribal casinos to open retail sportsbooks under the authority of the Washing Gambling Commission. Each of Washington's tribal casinos may begin taking wagers on casino property once properly licensed.

HB 2638 prohibits betting on games involving the state's colleges and minor league professional sporting events. Betting on esports competitions or events is allowed.

Online sportsbooks in Washington

None at the moment, but mobile sports betting will be allowed only when inside an on-site licensed tribal casino - once they apply for and receive a license.

Retail sportsbooks in Washington

None at the moment.
