Tulane went 9-for-18 on triples in a 92-83 overtime win Feb. 12 against Temple but would lose 75-70 to the Owls Feb. 27 to result in a season split.
Temple went 10-7 in conference play to finish fourth. The Owls rely on defense and a slow-tempo style in grinding out their best performances. They've held foes to a 40.3% mark from the field since Feb. 7 and have been especially good in defending the perimeter.
