Detroit suffered its 2nd consecutive loss on Wednesday, a 110-101 setback against the Portland Trail Blazers as a 3.5-point favorite. G Cade Cunningham had a very solid game, scoring 30 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. F Ausar Thompson continued his solid rookie campaign with 16 points and 7 boards.

New Orleans got back into the win column with a 110-106 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday, covering as a 3.5-point underdog. The Pelicans were very inefficient shooting the ball, only hitting 39.2% from the field and 58.6% from the stripe, but they were able to hold the Thunder to 20.6% shooting from beyond the arc.

New Orleans has a lot of talent offensively, especially if F Brandon Ingram returns from injury, and that will carry them to cover here vs. a Detroit team that has had little success offensively. Detroit does have a good amount of talent defensively, but nothing that can really match the physicality of F Zion Williamson. Look for the Pelicans to win by a good margin here, especially if Ingram returns.

Over/Under

The Pelicans have been a very good defensive team this year, only allowing 99 opponent points per game in their 3 wins. Detroit has been a team that has struggled offensively, scoring less than 105 points in 2 of its 3 losses. Detroit also has yet to score 120 points or more in a game this season. Look for the Under to hit as Detroit should struggle to score with the length of F Herb Jones making it hard for Cunningham to be impactful scoring the ball.
