Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns odds, picks and predictions

The Arizona Cardinals (1-7) and Cleveland Browns (4-3) meet Sunday for a Week 9 matchup at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook's lines around the Cardinals vs. Browns odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Cardinals head east to Cleveland, and the offense will have a much different look. QB Josh Dobbs, whom the team acquired from the Cleveland Browns before the season began, started the first 8 games. He was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, so rookie QB Clayton Tune could make his first NFL start. QB Kyler Murray (knee) could also potentially start, if activated from the reserve/PUP list Saturday.

Not only do the Cards have problems under center, RB Emari Demercado, who has been filling in for RB James Conner, has been ruled out. RB Damien Williams is on the injured list, so it will be RBs Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones Jr. likely carrying the load.

Arizona suffered a 31-24 loss last time out at home, covering as a 10-point underdog. It pushed in its most recent road loss at Seattle, falling 20-10. On the road, the Cardinals are 0-4 straight up (SU) and 1-2-1 against the spread (ATS) while cashing the Under in 3 of the 4 road contests.

The Browns welcome back QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) back under center after a 4-game absence. He is 2-1 as a starter this season, with both victories coming at home in a pair of covers and Under results.

Cardinals at Browns picks and predictions

Prediction

Browns 26, Cardinals 10

Moneyline

The Browns (-720) will cost you more than 7 times your potential return, and that's way too much risk and very little reward.

While the Cardinals (+520) are on the road, facing a strong defense, while they have personnel and injury issues, you can't back the heavy favorite at this price.

PASS.

Against the spread

The BROWNS -11.5 (-108) are a strong bet to win by double digits as long as Watson doesn't have a lot of rust.

The team just traded free agent-to-be WR Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Detroit Lions, so hopefully Watson has jelled nicely with rookie WR Cedric Tillman. The latter is expected to have a much larger role beside WRs Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore.

Cleveland is not only 3-1 SU/ATS in 4 games at home this season, it has covered both previous meetings against NFC West teams this season, including a 19-17 win against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Over/Under

UNDER 38.5 (-115) is the lean, but play a half-unit play at most.

While the Over has cashed in 2 straight games for the Browns, the Under is 3-0-1 in 4 games at home this season.

The Cardinals have seen the total go high 5 times in 8 games, although the total is 3-1 in 4 road games this season.
