Memphis Grizzlies at Portland Trail Blazers odds, picks and predictions

The Memphis Grizzlies (0-6) visit the Portland Trail Blazers (3-3) for the 2nd-straight time on Sunday. Tip-off from Moda Center is set for 9 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Grizzlies vs. Trail Blazers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Portland leads 1-0

Memphis failed to secure its 1st win on the season yet again on Friday, losing 115-113 in OT to Portland. Memphis failed to cover as a 3.5-point favorite, moving to 1-5 ATS on the season. The Grizzlies were out-rebounded 50-48 and turned the ball over 17 times in the loss.

Friday's win marked the 3rd straight for the Blazers, after starting 0-3. Portland has averaged 108 points per game (PPG) during the win streak, a slight increase from its 102 PPG average during its losing streak. Portland saw 4 starters eclipse 15 points in the win over Memphis.

Grizzlies at Trail Blazers picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 113, Trail Blazers 111

Moneyline

BET GRIZZLIES (-140).

This is a very risky bet as Memphis did just lose to Portland and has yet to win a game this year, but this is the Grizzlies' best chance to pick up a win. Memphis shot a terrible 28.6% from beyond the arc in Friday's loss, and if even 1 of those shots had gone in the game would have had a different outcome. Look for Memphis to secure its 1st win on the season here.

Against the spread

LEAN TRAIL BLAZERS +2.5 (-105).

These teams are very evenly matched and Friday's overtime finish makes me even more confident that this will be yet another close game. Portland is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 matchups with the Grizzlies and is 3-0 ATS in its last 3 games overall. Also, the Grizzlies are only 1-5 ATS on the season and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall, dating back to last season's playoffs.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 218.5 (-110).

Both teams are 3-3 on the Over/Under this season, but the Under is safer in recent matchups between these squads. The Under is 7-3 in the last 10 Memphis-Portland matchups. Neither team has found much of a rhythm offensively and neither team really has a guy they trust to be the number 1 scoring option day in and day out.
