The Mavericks failed to cover the spread as 11.5-point home favorites in a 124-118 win vs. the Charlotte Hornets as the Over (235.5) hit Sunday. Dallas has failed to cover in back-to-back games for the 1st time this season.

The Magic covered as 3.5-point home underdogs in a 120-101 win vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday as the Under (222.5) cashed. Orlando is 5-1 against the spread (ATS) on the season.

Orlando was 1-0-1 ATS vs. Dallas last season, and the Over and Under each hit once.

Mavericks 110, Magic 108

Moneyline

The MAVERICKS (+105) is an interesting line. They didn't land in Orlando until 2:08 a.m. ET Monday, so I'm assuming Dallas is being downgraded due to lack of rest while playing on a back-to-back. I would still prefer taking the tired Mavericks at plus-money over paying -125 on the Magic, who should let down after blowing out the Lakers last time out.

Against the spread

The Magic have definitely improved since last season and are potentially a play-in team, but I don't like them being favored in this game after blowing out the Lakers. The Mavericks +1.5 (-110) should hit, but I prefer taking Dallas ML and getting plus-money.

PASS. Bet the moneyline and/or the total instead.

Over/Under

The theme of this game seems to be that the Mavericks will be tired after landing in Orlando late to play their 3rd game in 4 nights. The Under is 4-2 in Magic games this season, and I like the Mavericks to try and slow down the pace to conserve energy on offense.
