Texas A&M at Ohio State picks and predictions
Prediction
Texas A&M 71, Ohio State 69
Moneyline
Texas A&M is the value side of this one. But expect much more from the host Buckeyes in a Friday night game on campus. The cushion of the ATS play below makes more sense. PASS.
Against the spread
The Aggies are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games on the road. The Buckeyes are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games at home.
In its Monday opener against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, who are ranked No. 240 by KenPom, Ohio State found itself down 1 point (52-51) inside the 9-minute mark. Only a late push got the Buckeyes to their eventual 6-point win. This OSU team does have some experience, but for scoring especially, the team is relying on new blood.
Texas A&M has more of its rotation minutes intact. The Aggies of November have more connectivity with the Aggies from last winter — and last winter saw this program go 10-1 from Feb. 4-March 11. During that stretch, A&M held opposing shooters to a 40.9% mark from the field, and the Aggies dominated in getting to the charity stripe.
Those attributes travel well. BACK THE AGGIES +1.5 (-115) in Friday's game in Columbus.

Over/Under
Expect a slow'ish tempo but not a crawling one. Would want more data to get to the point of an account login, but the Over figures as a slight lean. PASS unless this number dips into the 137-137.5 range.
