They have lost 4 straight since beating the Grizzlies 133-109 Nov. 1. F Lauri Markkanen is averaging 24 points, 8.8 boards and 1.7 assists per game to lead the charge.

The Grizzlies fell to the Miami Heat 108-102 Wednesday. The loss came after their 1st win of the season when they won 112-100 Sunday in Portland. They are tied for 27th with just 107.5 points per game and are 28th with a 43.6% field goal percentage.

Grizzlies 110, Jazz 108

Moneyline

As mentioned, the Grizzlies are a poor-shooting team. Meanwhile, the Jazz are 3rd in rebounds and lead the NBA in offensive rebounds. That could lure Grizzlies 2nd-leading scorer F Jaren Jackson Jr. into foul trouble. Either way, there's no chance I'm paying -190 on a 1-7 team.

Against the spread

I actually like Memphis in this game because they're at home and have just enough outside shooting to get past a Jazz team clearly missing a consistent threat from outside. I don't see Memphis pulling away, though, and I give Utah a pretty fair shot at taking this one. I'm just erring on the side of caution taking JAZZ +4.5 (-105) over their ML.

Over/Under

The Jazz are 7-2 O/U this season, and Memphis is 3-5. Both teams are in the top 10 in pace, but Memphis just can't hit the broad side of a barn most nights. The first meeting went way Over, and I expect adjustments to be made.
