Michigan at St. John's picks and predictions

Prediction

Michigan 77, St. John's 73

Moneyline

With coach Rick Pitino needing an adjustment period at St. John's, I'll back MICHIGAN (+130) on the road in Monday's matchup. The Wolverines have plenty of players who have returned from last season, while the Red Storm have a handful of transfers surrounding Soriano.

Against the spread

MICHIGAN +2.5 (-105) is the ideal play in this contest as the Wolverines should keep this game competitive, and they can even win outright. The Wolverines do have multiple players they can use to try and defend Soriano, and they are 2-0 ATS to begin the season.

Meanwhile, the Red Storm fell short of covering the spread in their season opener, which was also at home.

Over/Under

Even though these teams have scored plenty of points in their early games, UNDER 155.5 (-115) is how I'd wager on the total. Michigan and St. John's haven't faced stiff competition yet, so this game should be lower scoring and closer than both team's contests thus far.
