Denver Nuggets at Cleveland Cavaliers odds, picks and predictions
The Denver Nuggets (9-3) and Cleveland Cavaliers (6-6) meet Sunday. Tip-off from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is set for 6 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Nuggets vs. Cavaliers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
Season series: First meeting; Denver won 2-0 last season.
Denver fell to below .500 on the road thanks to a 115-110 loss vs. the New Orleans Pelicans Friday, failing to cover as a 4.5-point favorite. The Nuggets were very inefficient from long range, shooting only 25.0% (10 of 40) while allowing the Pelicans to shoot 52.2% (12 of 23). Denver is now 0-3 in its last 3 road games.
Cleveland has now won back-to-back games after securing a 108-100 win over the Detroit Pistons Friday, failing to cover as a 9-point favorite. The Cavs' defense was on full display, forcing the Pistons to shoot only 25.7% from distance while also forcing them to turn the ball over 17 times.

Nuggets at Cavaliers picks and predictions
Prediction
Nuggets 106, Cavaliers 102
Moneyline
BET NUGGETS (-145).
Denver is on a road skid lately, but I expect the Nuggets to be able to get back on track with a win here. Cleveland has struggled when facing good teams this year and is only 2-3 at home. The Cavs have yet to find much success shooting the ball and that will help hide Denver's recent shooting issues. Denver is also the better team on both sides of the ball, averaging 114.1 points per game to Cleveland's 110.3 while also holding opponents to 107 PPG to Cleveland's 111.2.
Against the spread
LEAN NUGGETS -2.5 (-110).
The Nuggets are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 wins vs. Cleveland and 4-2 ATS in the last 6 meetings. Cleveland being without Mitchell also means its offense will be missing a lot, which should help the Nuggets cover even with the absence of Murray.
However, Cleveland is also 4-0 ATS in its last 4 wins vs. Denver. So whichever team you feel is going to win, is also the team you should back with your ATS bet.
Over/Under
LEAN UNDER 216.5 (-110).
The Under is 4-0 in Denver's last 4 overall, 4-0 in its last 4 on the road, and 7-3 in its last 10 overall. The Under has hit in Cleveland's last 2 games and is 3-0 in its last 3 at home.
