Women's basketball odds: Drake at Iowa picks and predictions

The Drake Bulldogs (3-0) and the Iowa Hawkeyes (3-1) meet Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze DraftKings Sportsbook's lines around the Drake at Iowa odds, and make our expert women's college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.

The Hawkeyes are looking to bounce back after a 65-58 loss against Kansas State last time out on its home floor. Iowa went ice-cold from the field, failing to score in the final 3 minutes Thursday in the upset loss. Star Caitlin Clark was able to amass 24 points, but she misfired on 23 of her 32 field-goal opportunities.

Iowa managed to hit just 36.1% collectively from the field, a far cry from the offensive juggernaut it had been in the first 3 outings when it averaged 92.0 points per game (PPG). The Hawkeyes managed to hit a dismal 2 shots from behind the arc on 21 attempts.

Drake topped Iowa State 85-73 last Sunday and it has wins over Saint Louis and St. Thomas (Minn.), averaging 85.7 PPG, while allowing just 69.3 PPG. F Grace Berg leads the Bulldogs with 19.0 PPG, while contributing 5.7 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.0 SPG, and she is hitting 51.4% from the field, while knocking down 53.8% from behind the 3-point line.

Iowa is No. 2 in the Paste BN Sports Coaches Poll.

Drake at Iowa picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 92, Drake 75

Moneyline

Iowa (-4000 ) will cost you way too much on the moneyline straight up. It's a good bet the Hawkeyes are going to be angry after the loss to K-State, and Iowa should come out firing on all cylinders after a bad shooting night collectively. Clark will be looking to atone for a poor shooting night, and she should go off against Drake (+1600), who has been just OK defensively.

PASS.

Against the spread

The bet is IOWA -16.5 (-110) on its home court, as it looks to wash the bad taste out of its mouth after the ugly egg-laying against Kansas State on Thursday. Look for Clark and the Hawkeyes to bounce back in a big way against an in-state rival, although it might take a quarter or 2 for the Hawkeyes to pull away. Be patient.

Over/Under

OVER 155.5 (-110) is the play. The Bulldogs have been able to score a healthy amount of points this season, and the Hawkeyes scored 94 or more points in the 1st 2 games against unranked opponents before becoming unhinged against Kansas State. It won't happen again. Clark and the Hawkeyes are too good to go ice-cold from the field in consecutive outings.
