Purdue vs. Marquette picks and predictions
Prediction
Marquette 73, Purdue 69
Moneyline
MARQUETTE (+146) is a solid play on the money line as a slight underdog in this title game.
The Golden Eagles were tremendous in the semifinal game against Kansas, hammering the top-ranked Jayhawks by 14 points. Confidence is sky-high for Marquette after hitting 45% from the field against Kansas. Purdue (-178) had a terrible shooting night against Tennessee, but it can't afford to struggle again if it wants to avoid a loss to the Golden Eagles.
Against the spread
MARQUETTE +4.5 (-110) is worth a look catching nearly 2 buckets against Purdue -4.5 (-110). The Golden Eagles have cashed in 3 of the past 4 games overall, including both of their games as an underdog this season.
Purdue has covered both games as a single-digit favorite, but its struggles from the field should give all bettors pause.

Over/Under
UNDER 143.5 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.
This is a championship game, and the stakes are high, as the teams jostle for a Maui Invitational title. The Over has hit in 3 of the past 4 games for Purdue, while the Under has connected in 3 in a row for Marquette.
The concern with Marquette, as far as the spread, is its struggles from the free-throw line, as it has hit a dismal 63.0% from the line, leaving way too many points on the floor. That's great news for Under bettors, however.
