Air Force at Boise State odds, picks and predictions
The Air Force Falcons (8-3, 5-2 Mountain West) go up against the Boise State Broncos (6-5, 5-2) on Friday at Albertsons Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Air Force vs. Boise State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
The Falcons suffered a 31-27 defeat to UNLV in Week 12, falling short of covering as 3-point home favorites while the Over of 46.5 connected. Air Force has lost 3 consecutive games, and 2 of those losses came against Mountain West opponents.
The Broncos easily covered as 4.5-point road favorites and the Under of 63.5 hit in their 45-10 victory over Utah State in Week 12. Boise State, which fired coach Andy Avalos following a 42-14 win against New Mexico in Week 11, has won 2 straight games.

Air Force at Boise State picks and predictions
Prediction
Boise State 28, Air Force 24
Moneyline
Even with Boise State being TD favorites at home, I'll PASS on taking their moneyline at the current odds.
Against the spread
AIR FORCE +7 (-110) is the ideal play as this is a must-win game for both teams in the Mountain West championship picture. Boise State needs a win and for UNLV to defeat San Jose State on Saturday to give itself the best chance of playing in the Mountain West title game.
While I believe the Broncos will pull out the win at home, the Falcons will keep it close enough to cover the spread.
Over/Under
LEAN OVER 46.5 (-110).
Make no mistake about it, both of these teams want to run the ball as Air Force averages 282.1 rushing yards (2nd-most in the nation) and Boise State averages 210.1 rushing yards per game (7th-most in the nation) this season.
That being said, the Broncos produce a solid 32.5 points per game and have tallied 30-plus points in 9 straight games, including 42-plus points in their last 2. On the other hand, the Falcons post 28.4 points per game and they just got into somewhat of a shootout against UNLV in Week 12.
