Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

The Chicago Bulls (5-12) and Brooklyn Nets (7-8) clash Sunday with tip-off from Barclays Center set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Bulls vs. Nets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Nets lead 1-0

The Bulls have dropped 3 games in a row, most recently a 121-108 defeat to the Toronto Raptors Friday. G Zach LaVine returned from a 1-game absence and had a team-high 36 points. He's questionable for this one with a sore foot.

Brooklyn opened a 5-game homestand with a 112-97 win over the Miami Heat Saturday. All 5 starters were in double figures, and F Cam Johnson had 19 points, 10 boards and 5 assists. The Nets snuck by the Bulls with a 109-107 victory in Chicago Nov. 3.

Bulls at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 109, Nets 106

Moneyline

I like the value on the Bulls here with Brooklyn playing in a back-to-back. This is a good value for a Bulls squad that has won 3 of the last 5 meetings. The Nets lost their only game on no rest this season, and this is a prime spot to overlook a similarly talented team.

Take the BULLS +150.

Against the spread

I'm sticking with the plus-money on the Bulls' moneyline and steering clear of the spread. PASS.

Over/Under

There were 216 points in the matchup earlier this month. The Bulls are 8-9 O/U this season, and the Nets are 8-7. The last 5 meetings have gone Under, but the lowest total was 221. The major factor here is Brooklyn playing on back-to-back nights, which could lead to poor shooting. It'll be tight, but I LEAN UNDER 216.5 (-115).
