Chicago Bulls at Boston Celtics odds, picks and predictions
The Chicago Bulls (5-13) take on the Boston Celtics (13-4) Tuesday in the In-Season Tournament with tip-off from TD Garden set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Bulls vs. Celtics odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
Season series: First meeting; Tied 2-2 last year
The Bulls are coming off a 118-109 loss to the Brooklyn Nets Sunday and failed to cover as 3-point dogs. F DeMar DeRozan had 27, and G Zach LaVine had 20 on 8-for-18 shooting. They've lost 4 in a row and 7 of 8 and have the daunting task of taking on the Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks this week.
After a dominant start, the Celtics have alternated wins and losses over the last 4 games. Those losses were stunners, coming by the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic, but they beat playoff teams in the Bucks and Atlanta Hawks. They took down the Hawks 113-103 Sunday as F Jayson Tatum had 34 points and 9 boards.

Bulls at Celtics picks and predictions
Prediction
Celtics 113, Bulls 103
Moneyline
I specifically mentioned the lesser teams the Celtics have lost to recently for this scenario. You can't risk 9 times your return on a ML even if you don't think there's a chance it falls through. In the long run, it will.
I look for this to be a F Jaylen Brown game. Chicago is going to key in on Tatum. And I love JAYSON TATUM OVER 4.5 ASSISTS (+115) in this one. In the 4 meetings with Chicago last year, he had 5, 6, 7 and 7 assists.
Against the spread
The Bulls covered all 4 games against Boston last year, and the Celtics are without Porzingis and possibly Holiday.
Take the BULLS +13.5 (-115).
Over/Under
Dangerous total here, but let's dive into it. The Bulls are 9-9 O/U, and the Celtics, for as dominant as they have been, are just 6-10-1 O/U. Three of the 4 meetings last year went Under, but this total is much smaller. The Bulls are 30th in pace, which assists their 7th-rated field-goals made defensive stat.
LEAN UNDER 218.5 (-110), but go easy because we're teetering the line with this one.
