Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic odds, picks and predictions
The Washington Wizards (3-14) go up against the Orlando Magic (12-5) on Wednesday at Amway Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Wizards vs. Magic odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
Season series: First meeting; split last season 2-2
The Wizards easily covered as 2.5-point underdogs, and the Under (236.5) connected, in their 126-107 victory at the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Washington snapped its 9-game losing streak in its win over a Detroit team that is on a league-worst 14-game skid.
The Magic defeated the Charlotte Hornets 130-117 on Sunday to cover as 6.5-point home favorites, and the Over (228.5) hit. Orlando is currently on a 7-game winning streak as 2nd-year F Paolo Banchero is averaging 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.

Wizards at Magic picks and predictions
Prediction
Magic 120, Wizards 107
Moneyline
Despite the Magic (-450) being heavy favorites at home, I'll PASS on their moneyline at -450 odds. There is never a time when betting on a team at -450 odds or worse is worth the risk.
Against the spread
MAGIC -9.5 (-115) is the play in this game despite it being such a massive spread. The Wizards have been 1 of the worst teams in basketball early in the season, while the Magic are a scrappy, young team that can make some noise in the Eastern Conference.
The Magic are 14-3 ATS overall, including a 7-1 ATS record at home. Orlando has also won 4 of its last 5 games by at least 12 points.
Over/Under
UNDER 233.5 (-110) is how I'd wager on the total as it's tough to see the Wizards scoring enough points to hit the Over. While this is a pace-up game for the Magic, both teams are in the bottom half of the league in offensive rating.
The Magic also boast the 2nd-best defensive rating in the NBA, which should lead to a lopsided win that helps them cover the spread and connect on the Under.
