Los Angeles Lakers at Oklahoma City odds, picks and predictions
The Los Angeles Lakers (11-8) and Oklahoma City Thunder (11-6) square off on Thursday with tip from Paycom Center set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Lakers vs. Thunder odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
Season series: First meeting; Lakers won 2 of 3 last season
Los Angeles had a bounce-back victory on Wednesday night with a thorough thrashing of the Detroit Pistons, 133-107. Three Lakers starters scored 25-plus points, led by G D'Angelo Russell's 35. Los Angeles needs to clean up the turnovers, averaging over 15 per game on the season. They look to finish this 4-game road trip above .500 on Thursday night against the Thunder.
The Thunder have lost back-to-back games by a combined 7 points. G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 32 points weren't enough to beat the Timberwolves as OKC fell 106-103 on Tuesday night in Minnesota. Oklahoma City failed to cover the 2.5-point spread and went Under the 228.5 point total.
They last time these 2 teams met was March 24 in Los Angeles. The Lakers came out on top 116-111 covering the 3.5-point spread and the game went Under the 230.5 total.

Lakers at Thunder picks and predictions
Prediction
Thunder 121, Lakers 112
Moneyline
PASS.
The Lakers wrap up a 4-game road trip over 6 days so it wouldn't surprise if Los Angeles rests a few of their key players ahead of a 2-game homestand against conference rivals, the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns. The Thunder will win this game but I'm staying away from betting a -275 line.
Against the spread
BET THUNDER -6.5 (-110).
I like the Thunder to cover this spread on Thursday night. They have covered in 3 of their last 4 home games.
I am confident that the Lakers will rest some of their starters after playing 3 games in 4 days and playing a back-to-back on the road. LeBron James is no spring chicken, he needs days to recuperate his body. Even if he plays, they may put him on a minutes limit along with Anthony Davis.
This is only Oklahoma City's 3rd game in the last 6 days so they're plenty rested.
Over/Under
BET OVER 230.5 (-110).
Oklahoma City ranks 6th in the NBA in points scored per game at 118.6.
The Lakers have been Over their total in back-to-back games heading into this matchup. Oklahoma City has been Over in 4 of their last 6. In their last 3 meetings head-to-head, they've gone Over in 2 of the last 3.
