NFL Week 14 parlay: Let's make some money

After winning a 3-team parlay in Week 12, it's back to the drawing board after a losing Week 13. We hit just 1 of 3 ends of the 3-team parlay last weekend, and while excuses are weak, I'm going to blame injuries and weather.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost QB Kenny Pickett (ankle) to an early injury, and there were several weather delays, too. But you know what? The Arizona Cardinals also had the same weather delays, and it didn't seem to bother them.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were on the way to a cover, but the Carolina Panthers scored a late touchdown with 5:02 remaining for the backdoor cover, winning 21-18 as a 5.5-point favorite.

At least the Los Angeles Rams pulled away from the Cleveland Browns for the easy cover, but by the time the late window started, the parlay was already well on its way to a loss.

In the extra game, the Houston Texans almost got more late-game heroics from super rookie QB C.J. Stroud, but the Jacksonville Jaguars held on a 24-21 to deny a 4-for-4 week.

Now, it's time to focus on the new week. After looking at FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL Week 14 odds, here is a "Let's make some money" NFL parlay bet to cash in on among SportbookWire's NFL expert picks and predictions.

NFL Week 14: Let's make some money parlay

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook; access Paste BN Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday at 6:29 a.m. ET. All games Sunday and ET unless noted.

Leg 1: FALCONS -2.5 (-112) vs. Buccaneers – 1 p.m. (FOX)

The Falcons (6-6) are in 1st place in the NFC South, leading the Buccaneers (5-7) and the New Orleans Saints by a full game. The difference between the Falcons and Bucs comes down to a 16-13 win by the Falcons at Raymond James Stadium in Week 7 as a 3-point underdog as the Under (37.5) cashed.

The Falcons are likely not too broken up to see Tom Brady in retirement. He went 5-1 in 6 meetings from 2020-23. The Falcons beat him in the final meeting, and won in Week 7, so Atlanta has back-to-back wins in this series for the 1st time since winning 5 straight meetings from 2016-18.

This is the 61st all-time meeting between these teams, with each team having 30 wins. The past 8 meetings have seen 4 games decided by single digits, and this game might not be different. But when the smoke clears, Atlanta should be able to secure its 3rd straight win and 4th consecutive cover in this series.

Leg 2: RAMS +7.5 (-120) at Ravens – 1 p.m. (FOX)

The Rams (6-6) have played their way into the playoff picture in the NFC with 3 straight wins, including covers in the past 2 weekends. The Rams topped the Browns 36-19 last Sunday, the team's 1st win against an AFC North team in 3 tries. The Rams are 1-1-1 ATS against the division.

The Ravens (9-3) suffered a 33-31 loss to the Browns in Week 10, but they have picked up back-to-back wins against the Cincinnati Bengals at home, and the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.

While Baltimore picked up covers in those 2 games, the Ravens have failed to cover the past 2 outings as a favorite of 7 or more points, while going 1-3 ATS in the past 4 when favored by 6 or more points.

Baltimore should pick up the victory, but Los Angeles is a good play catching 7 and a hook, and it is worth playing even if it gets down to a flat 7.

Leg 3: BROWNS -3 (-115) vs. Jaguars – 1 p.m. (CBS)

The Browns (7-5) return home after falling to the Denver Broncos and Rams in consecutive weekends. Despite the skid, the Browns are still in the thick of the AFC playoff picture, and they face a huge opportunity on the shores of Lake Erie on Sunday.

Teams never want to benefit from a terrible situation, but Cleveland finds itself with a little stroke of rare luck. QB Trevor Lawrence left the Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a high-ankle sprain, and one of his biggest downfield threats, WR Christian Kirk, suffered a core muscle injury, and he might need surgery to rectify the situation. That means the Browns might face the Jaguars with 2 big skill position players in street clothes.

It's rather surprising to see the Browns favored by just 3 points, so get in on this one early before the money starts coming in on Cleveland. The public is definitely going to drive this number up if QB C.J. Beathard is under center, and journeyman WR Zay Jones or rookie WR Parker Washington is called up to start in Kirk's absence, opposition WR Calvin Ridley.

Parlay payout: Bet $10 to profit $55.43 (payout = $65.43).

Leg 4-*: CHIEFS -2.5 (-115) vs. Bills – 4:25 p.m. (CBS)

*-If you want to add a 4th play to this parlay.

The Chiefs (8-4) return to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium for a key matchup in the AFC playoff picture against the sliding Bills (6-6). The last time the home fans saw the Chiefs, the Eagles were leaving with a 21-17 win in the rain on a Monday night. Still, Kansas City is 3-1 SU/ATS in the past 4 games at home.

The Bills lost 37-34 in OT to the Eagles, also in the rain, in Philadelphia. It has had 2 weeks to stew about that loss, and that means 2 weeks to get healthy and prepare. So, there is risk. Buffalo won 24-20 in Kansas City last October, and it has won 2 straight trips to Arrowhead in the regular season. The Chiefs aren't going to allow that to happen again.

Parlay payout: Bet $10 to profit $112.33 (payout = $122.33).
