Best NFL underdog picks and predictions for Week 14
Week 13 was not a particularly good week for the underdog. Of the 13 games that were played, only 3 underdogs won their games outright while 5 covered the spread. But here we are in Week 14 with 15 games to choose from for good underdog picks.
Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook NFL odds and lines, and tab the best NFL Week 14 underdog bets to cash in on among SportbookWire's NFL expert picks and predictions.
For the 2nd straight week, my underdogs were no good, going 0-3. The Denver Broncos could not cover the spread against the Houston Texans. The New York Jets did not cover in a 5-point loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and the Philadelphia Eagles could not cover the 3-point spread at home against the San Francisco 49ers in a 42-19 loss. Through 13 weeks, I am barely over .500 at 20-18-1.

PATRIOTS +6 (-110) at Steelers – Thursday, 8:15 p.m. (Prime Video)
The Patriots are coming off a 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last week and have lost 5 games in a row. They have scored a combined 13 points in their last 3 games.
However, they have not lost by more than 6 points in their last 4.
The Steelers, playing without QB Kenny Pickett, struggled against Arizona's low-ranked defense, mustering only 10 points in a loss. They have not won by more than 6 points since Oct. 22.
This has the promise of an absolute stinker of a game in prime time, but it should be close.
Vikings at RAIDERS (+130) – 4:05 p.m. (FOX)
The Vikings have lost 2 straight games and are going once again with QB Josh Dobbs, who threw 4 interceptions last time out.
Las Vegas has lost 2 straight and 4 of its last 6, and all those losses were by at least a touchdown.
However, the Vikings only scored 10 points in their last game.
Dobbs has 5 interceptions in his last 2 games and 10 for the season.
SEAHAWKS +10.5 (-110) at 49ers – 4:05 p.m. (FOX)
The 49ers are rolling and beat the Seahawks 31-13 two weeks ago in Santa Clara.
However, the Seahawks went toe-to-toe with Dallas last week in a 6-point loss, covering as 9.5-point underdogs.
The 49ers have beaten the Seahawks 4 straight games, but Seattle is fighting for its playoff life, having dropped into 3rd place in the division.
Three of the Seahawks' 6 losses this season have been by 6 or fewer points.
