Golden State Warriors at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

The Golden State Warriors (10-11) take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (13-7) Friday with tip-off from Paycom Center set for 8 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Warriors vs. Thunder odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Thunder lead 2-1

The Dubs are coming off a 110-106 nail-biting win over the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday. The Warriors failed to cover as 12.5-point favorites, and the Under 226.5 held up. They have alternated wins and losses over the last 7 games and are 5-4 on the road. G Stephen Curry had 31, and he is doing all he can to put the team on his back. At age 35, he's averaging 29.2 PPG and shooting 42.9% from 3, which is his best mark since 2018-19.

OKC had an off night as they fell 110-101 to the Houston Rockets Wednesday, failing to cover as 1.5-point favorites. G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points, 6 assists, 3 boards and 6 steals as he continues to take the next step into stardom. He's averaging 30.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG and 6.3 APG while shooting a great 54.7% from the floor.

Are we witnessing the decline of G Klay Thompson? At age 33, his numbers are down across the board. He averaged 21.9 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 2.4 APG and shot 43.6% from the floor and 41.2% from distance last year. He's averaging 15.5 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 2.2 APG and shooting a miserable 39.7% from the floor and 34.8% from 3. Curry needs him to get right or someone else to step up if this team has aspirations of going deep into the summer.

SGA is in a similar spot needing one of his young brethren to step up and give him a consistent running mate. He'll be too much for the Warriors as he put 40 on them last time. I don't like OKC at the price, though. It's not that big of a gap, and I'll look to the spread.

PASS.

Against the spread

OKC has covered in all 3 games against Golden State this year. The Thunder are 14-6 ATS and 7-3 at home this year. Meanwhile the Warriors are just 9-12 ATS on the season.

I feel pretty good about the THUNDER -2.5 (-115).

In fact, a lot of books have already swelled to 3 points. Get in now.

Over/Under

The Over is 3-0 in this series, but the last game needed overtime to cash an Over 237.5. I could see this going either way, though, I'm projecting it to go Under. Curry and SGA just aren't getting enough consistent support for me to have confidence in a number north of 230.

LEAN UNDER 236.5 (-110).
